a series of private and acoustically controlled environments generated views to address the existence of maximum open space. core common spaces contained within the two curved walls permit passgae through a series of aligned entries in order to promote efficient circulation. areas with a lesser degree of sensitivity to sound were placed along the "noisy" manhattan bridge with its continuous subway rumbling. these spaces protect internal spaces while benefiting from the natural light available at the perimeter locations.
