the neptune foundation’s floating pool opened in time for the american 4 july holiday celebrations at brooklyn bridge park, new york. since its opening it has hosted 1000 visitors each day, free of charge.

‘inspired by the floating baths of late nineteenth century new york, the neptune foundation was established in 1999 by ann buttenwieser. the mission for this not-for-profit foundation was to commission the design and and construction of a prototype for a new generation of movable waterfront pools for recreationally underserved communities.’
