a softly shaped object spanning over the river as a symbol of the union contrasts with the rigid structure of the truck parking which surrounds it. impression of the building also represents the simple organization of the traffic inside with mirrored directions of passengers flow. the green roof is formed by terraces, creating an impression of a typical south china landscape. the architectural concept was developed to respond the surrounding urban structure, to meet the brief and to create a visually striking landmark that will act as a gate point for both cities. the building therefore has an elegant iconic character, is simply organized and environmentally friendly.
