french designer mathieu lehanneur has merged the internet of things with the primitive in ‘hybrid’ for lexon, a smart radio that combines the virtues of nature with contemporary technology. ‘digital intelligence is blended here with a raw material, what might be called smart & craft!’ lehanneur says. ‘it was predicted by some that radios would be made obsolete by the arrival of PCs and smart phones. this however is not the case!’ partially clad in woven rattan, the compact device incorporates high-tech with a skilled craft; it features bluetooth connectivity with powerful speakers, allowing users to access all their favorite music wirelessly.
