japanese studio takt project has come up with ‘3-pring product’, a DIY proposal that enables users to change the usage of each piece. incorporating ready-made items from muji, the designs can be transformed by adding 3D printed components onto them to create something new and original. joining parts for the plastic objects and connections that are based on existing sizes, help to expand the possibility for these 3D printed techniques. wanting to break down the boundary between consumer and manufacturer, the ‘3-pring product’ takes materials and reinterprets them into individually customized pieces.
