photographer david cardelus has captured rafael moneo’s ‘puig tower’, as it slices through the air in barcelona. the corporate headquarters is one of the last high rise buildings at the ‘l’hospitalet de barcelona europa square’ area where projects by toyo ito, jean nouvel and aranda, vilalta & pigem are also featured. the angled skyscraper consists of a solid block of dark glass wrapped by an infinite sequence of white panels that rise across its entire façade. the images depict the volume ascending up to an elegant singular top that stands out against the blue sky.
