through a special printing process, designer ron gilad has developed a collection of welded high and low glass tables for glas italia with an optional wooden-textured finish. unveiled at salone del mobile 2014, the series is reproduced by transparency onto a glass surface, highlighting the refined and experimental fusion between the two materials. the resulting effect is a timber aesthetic is supported and absorbed by the lightweight glass, dispersing light through the seams and cracks of the graphic surface pattern. the low tables are also produced in different sizes; a version with a wood covered finish and a transparent outermost edge.
