architectural video are a group of filmmakers and architects looking to offer a new approach in the documentation of the built environment. the team has filmed a selection of structures and spaces, allowing the viewer to focus on the chosen building without the interference of noise. motivated by the perceived ignorance of architecture in the media, architectural video are influenced by the works of stanley kubrick and alfred hitchcock, directors who have mastered the use of space as part of their storytelling.

 

focusing on the work of 1992 pritzker prize laureate álvaro siza vieira, the videos explore two of his designs – ‘vidago hotel & spa’ and ‘leça swimming pools’ – considering contextual connections and their integration with the project. witness the careful documentation below, and see more movies here.
