‘cetka’ is a chair is influenced by the weaving that has emerged from the minds of india-based acid studio. the continuous operation of interlacing lines of material at right angles creates a natural pattern that runs along its hard edges. aside from its ornamental properties, the diagrid provides the functional advantage of strengthening the structure by manipulating the density of its interstitial spaces according to where loads are placed. thus, as users move around the design they are presented with a layering of surfaces that constantly change the overall appearance and challenge the conception of the object as a two-dimensional or three-dimensional figure. molded in lightweight plastic with rounded corners, these characteristics allow the project to be stackable, decorative, and easy to maneuver throughout a space.
