japanese artists yasuhiko hayashi and yûsuke nakano of paramodel have infilled the gallery of the university of michigan museum of art in ‘paramodelic-graffiti’ — a mesmerizing maze of construction toys and train tracks. canvassing the walls, floors and ceiling, a network of blue model railroads encompass the surfaces in and beyond the exhibition space. a labyrinth of small toy cranes, animal dolls, styrofoam mountains and white-colored patches of sand are interspersed between bold teal and cerulean lines and shapes, forming an intricate composition of high-contrast graphics.
