in banciao city, taiwan, the ‘garden bridge’ is an elevated pathway by taiwanese practice AMBi studio which helps pedestrians safely traverse xian-min road and the immediate bustling urban district. integrating an experiential progression, the structure’s undulating steel body is dictated by the user experience, accentuating points of interest to create momentary pauses for reflection, appreciation of the encompassing scenery and spaces which encourage back and forth movements. the concept of the veranda is applied, partially covering the walkway while strategically directing attention towards popular sites nearby.
