‘tacitas’ is a unique collection of sculpted containers from chilean design studio bravo!. the set integrates an important conceptual meaning, by representing through a contemporary language, an ancient and local phenomenon from original cultures. these intervened stones were huge rocks with many holes in them made by humans. these voids had two different meanings: a practical one, used for grinding purposes, and a sacred one, where people would fill them with blood to drink so they could connect with the gods.

‘we choose river stones from the andes mountains for this new interpretation, which are naturally round shaped and they invite people to handle them,’ said the designers. these elements pursue the idea of making contrast between nature and man. the former is represented by the exterior surface, while the latter is portrayed by the top, bottom, and holes. these manipulations made were made with a mixture of craftsmanship and advanced technologies.
