moscow-based architectural office za bor has conceived the new office space for the russian language search service company yandex. located in the saint petersburg benois business center, the re-design intergrates a series of contrasting unusual objects thoughtout the interior fabric of the building. sprouting from the walls and floor, items such as search-engine or internet navigation icons are placed sporadically around the office environment to create a sense of playfulness and joy.

the concept re-interprets common 2D pixelated items, and proportionatly scales them into life-sized interactive art-objects. the reception desk welcomes visitors with a ‘search’ button, and a giant arrow pointing towards a certain direction. the most bizarre objects are used for zoning, conference halls and meeting spaces for informal communication and are scattered along the entire work-space. in addition, a gym, cafeteria, showers, lecture halls and several coffee-points are seen throughout the inner scope of the development.
