lyhty by erkko aarti

finnish designer erkko aarti has developed ‘lyhty’, a space for resting in the middle of the darkest autumn days. the brightly-lit interior prevents depression, tiredness and exhaustion, enabling users to prevent symptoms of polar darkness with a calm and soothing environment. the exterior facade refers to igloos and crystallized snow, where its bearing structure of consists of steel pipes with welded joints. a steel skeleton composed of wrapped fabric creates a semi-transparent exterior, demonstrating depth on the surface.
