‘we used to’ is a recent personal project by animation artist wei keong, who splits his time between singapore and san francisco. heartbroken by the hundreds of christmas trees that litter streets in the weeks following the holiday, keong set out with camera in hand to photograph the discarded. with a final portrait, he says goodbye. ‘we used to’ is part of a larger exploration by the artist on the sometimes hard, and always confusing, feelings of affection and abandonment. for more of the series, visit the ‘we used to’ blog here.
