italian architectural collaborators paolo venturella and cosimo scotucci pose a project to the world with the ‘global cooling skyscraper’. addressing the increasingly dire situation of earth’s temperature, the radical concept is a world-wide strategy to save our planet. the ‘skyscraper’ itself is of a scale so large it is almost unfathomable. a unique and continuous form, it works similarly to a solar chimney. due to its location and the system’s circulating abilities, hot air is forced outwards to the tower’s extremities where it eventually dissipates into space. the ‘global cooling skyscraper’, once it achieves sufficient lowering of temperatures, can then be used as a global source of renewable energy.
