unknown weegee (real name arthur fellig) was a new york photographer who took photos

at night in and around the streets of manhattan. in order to capture the moment he would
sleep in his car and listen to his shortwave radio, eavesdropping on the police and fire department. his subjects were varied and often took photos of brutal crime scenes. in the
later part of his career he brought to light social issues dealing with immigrants and racism. the exhibition features 100 photos from 1937 to 1964 and videos taken by him. this exhibition
was first on display in new york in 2006.
