this month’s shift magazine featured a piece on belgian artist eric van hove. van hove is one of eleven artists participating in the new york to tokyo exhibition ‘into the atomic sunshine’. curated by shinya watanabe the works featured are based around article 9 of the japanese piece constitution and japan from the post war period. van hove created a sustainable piece, a worm farm in a box, which included the constitution papers that could be used as fertilizer. to some the piece is controversial. the exhibition will run from august 6th – 24th at daikayama hillside forum, tokyo, japan.
