mercado.arte.design opens at jockey club in são paulo

for the fourth annual edition of mercado.arte.design, or MADE, brazilian designers will present their wares at the jockey club, in são paulo, brazil from august 8th to 14th. sponsored by bradesco private bank, the event was organized with the intent to increase and diversify the local art and design community.

this year’s event includes a new initiative — paper made — where participants convey ideas and information solely through drawn visuals. also, MADE had entered into an exclusive contract with adorno design, a danish e-commerce site where shown wares will be available on a global scale. lastly, the fourth edition includes the innovation award, an honor given to the top three products in each of the three presentation categories. winners are to receive custom trophies designed by marcelo rosenbaum — whom MADE awarded with 2015 design of the year — with judging by the MADE advisory board with curators waldick jatoba and bruno simoes.
