arne quinze presents jungle cities exhibition at the denk gallery in los angeles
the artist has created a sprawling landscape of tangled materials and eye-popping compositions.

bulky shapes, grafitti-like traces and extravagant neon colors are set to define arne quinze‘s ‘jungle cities’ exhibition at the denk gallery in los angeles. the artist who is renowned for his large scale installations including ‘chaos in motion‘ and ‘the sequence‘, will display a series of works which will turn the space into a sprawling landscape of tangled materials and eye-popping compositions.

the exhibition was born from arne quinze‘s love for chaos, creating a new and rich language which seeks to grow and multiply in exuberance and form. ‘the project is a leftover from the 1980s, my youth. the beauty of the jungle is a new world opening up to me and in which I can go to find momentum, colour and diversity. it seems very abstract, but I am applying my years of work on chaos to the jungle theme. a search for a new balance between shape, colour and materiality, and its potential application in public spaces.’
‘jungle cities’ will be on display at the denk gallery in los angeles from january 25th until april 15th 2017.
