
CCD designs oriental ‘diaoyutai hotel’ in historic capital of hangzhou
CCD’s diaoyutai hotel is the chinese government's highest standard service venue for hosting foreign heads of state visiting china.
after accumulating a plethora of accolades for being one of china’s most sought after high-end hospitality designers, CCD/cheng chung design adds the diaoyutai hotel in hangzhou to its collection. at the beginning of its completion, the ‘dioyutai hotel hangzhou’, located alongside the qiantang river, was the main venue for the 2016 G20 summit, however quickly became a hotspot for visitors of the city. elements of the traditional chinese culture as well as contemporary western styles are implemented in the design.

CCD/cheng chung design’s diaoyutai hotel is the chinese government’s highest standard service venue for hosting foreign heads of state visiting china. the layout is influenced by traditional chinese ‘siheyuans’, commonly known as ‘courtyard houses’. additionally, the hotel boasts an area of 15,600 sqm and features 162 guest rooms across 16 storeys, a spacious lounge, three delectable restaurants, a fitness center equipped with a swimming pool, a banquet hall and many other facilities.
