prospect.1 new orleans largest biennale of contemporary art organized by the U.S.

the largest biennale of international contemporary art that the U.S. has ever organized will open this saturday, november 1st, 2008. since the post-katrina floods of 2005, the international art community has expressed a desire to contribute to the city and its people. called prospect.1 new orleans, over 75 international artists will participate in the event. the biennale will spread throughout museums, historic buildings and various other venues showcasing the city through a range of contemporary art installations.
