inspired by the latest fiat’s design language, designer pierpaolo lazzarini‘s ‘minima’ is a three passenger city car. the design is based on an osvehicle, the modular open source electric car platform. in this shape the car measures 2970 mm in length and is equipped with an electric motor that should push the ‘minima’ up to 150 km/h with an estimated autonomy of about 300 miles. the sizes are similar to the 1960’s fiat’s cinquecento, as the rear passengers can benefit from a large amount of free space.

the opening system of the doors allows the driver and the passengers to gain easy entry into the vehicle. ‘minima’ is just a concept but an easy possibility for any investor that would like to start an adventure in the automotive industry. the design furthers lazzarini’s exploration of innovative transportation design which combines aesthetics, efficiency and comfort. his previous designs include the jet capsule water boats which can serve as water taxis for cities. the project has recently selected for a public water taxi service in italy. as a result, many other cities now want to use it for similar purposes
