british artist stephen smith who works under the name neasden control centre is currently displaying his work in a solo show at the calm & punk gallery, tokyo. in his work he uses a variety of media including graphics, installation and film and motion. taking its roots from traditional british caffeteria or tearoom ‘take away’ explores the development, regeneration and consequent replacement of traditional aspects of british culture and street food. the exhibition features previously unseen installation work.
