international architectural firm laboratory for visionary architecture (LAVA) have created ‘green void’, an installation made from lycra. inspired by the shapes of plants and nature they created the 20 meter high site specific installation using the latest digital fabrication and engineering techniques. the five funnels of the sculpture reach out and connect to the five levels of the atrium in sydney’s customs house. projects by LAVA together with the installation will be on display until june 2009.
