mf+arquitetos presents the design of the restaurant, tartuferia of são paolo, brazil. the studio is marked by its incorporation of green spaces within their interiors. this use of greenery in the design of tartuferia san paolo emphasizes the dissolving boundary between the exterior and the interior. a long, narrow channel separates the walls from the ceiling which seemingly floats, allowing lush vegetation to grow into the space. the interior vegetation of bia abreu passes through large overhead apertures, filtering sunlight and allowing natural ventilation.

mf+arquitetos’ project is characterized by a formal purity with straight lines, few volumes, and planes that lengthen and unite the environments. the interior is constructed with natural materials including wood, concrete and stone. the sophisticated carpentry and attention to detailing and materiality are what comprises the restaurant’s ‘decoration.’
