as cities are getting more dense, and the demand for micro-spaces is radically increasing, heima architects has come up with various creative solutions in the search for a fresh attitude towards compact living. the four tiny studio apartments, located in vilnius’ ševčenkos loft district, use a palette combination of white and a single color, unique for each one of them, in order to emphasize shape and space. different areas are divided by ‘transformer’ furniture, including a bed that opens a walk-in wardrobe when lifted, and a dining table/desk that can be easily turned into a coffee table if flipped on a side.
walk-in wardrobe under the bed can even fit shirts on a hanger
different spaces are divided by furniture instead of walls
every studio has two dining tables/desks
the tables can be stacked to save space
a combination of white and a single color in each micro-apartment maximizes the sense of space
some apartments can even fit a full-sized bathtub
