designer's own words:

this object shows the wish to make the most of the thickness of the door for storage, exchange, and looking between indoor and outdoor. The natural structure of a honeycomb, typicaly used in doors and other lightweight panels is taken to the edge with a color code and a distorsion that make each space suitable for its program.
