the army of smartphones surround the main entrance covering the store’s front in a display of ever-changing light. with the only real phones suspended facedown on the bases of a series of shelves, the floating images that can be seen on the facade are the reflection of light created by a semi-transparent mirror.

galaxy harajuku is not only the biggest galaxy showcase in tokyo but also the brand’s first permanent showcase in japan. the six-story store is decorated with over 1,000 galaxy smartphones, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the series this year.

the hundreds of galaxy smartphones which make up the store front are said to express samsung’s ‘vision for the future’. the showcase includes a variety of interactive experiences which utilize the latest galaxy technology, as samsung reveals that the venue will be used to introduce new mobile experiences it pursues in the future.
