the designer created vases made of heavy, carefully handcrafted murano glass. light refracted through the twisted glass gives the objects a sense of wonder. the design plays further than just the material itself, appearing as sculptural pieces. the curved forms create intricate reflections, and give the glass a new dimensionality.

yoshioka’s vases are part of louis vuitton’s 2019 ‘objets nomades’ collection. the collection, created in 2012, includes limited-edition travel-inspired objects created by celebrated designers from around the world. yoshioka had previously collaborated with louis vuitton for an ‘objets nomades’ collection stool in 2017.
