looking good at 40 years, the UP 5 & 6 is sill one of the most celebrated icons in the history of design. this anniversary is the occasion for a new version with silver upholstery and personalized serial numbers. this pop furniture piece first came out in 1969 and was designed by gaetano pesce. it has the boldness of those years, along with an interest in new technologies (it was originally sold vacuum packed) while also expressing a view on the condition for women. happy birthday UP!
