designer's own words:
when we remove unnecessary material from a square sectioned door handle the result is a thin, strong, economic and beautiful shape. the "pyramid" is a combination of rectangular shapes and pyramids which gives the sensation of a thin but solid metallic door handle, depending on the position of the viewer. the "pyramid" is the elegant structural solution to keep the door handle thin but strong and resistant in the same time for daily use.
