designer's own words:
the diameter of the shaft is dictated by the rose and spindle much like the ever so popular aluminium door handles of the 1970's and 1980's. by contrast the flush ‘thin black line’ of the lever itself is refined and minimal and could be anodized aluminium or powdercoated brass.
