designer's own words:

i designed libra to be stimulating to the tactile rather than the visual sense. Although an essentialy simple and fluid form, when grasped to open the door, the furrow subtly attracts the probing grip of index and thumb. dimensions comply with the basic standard measures and engineering requirements provided by colombo design. material is brass with cromat finish.
