enzo mari costellazione: triennale podcasts led by alice rawsthorn share insights, memories
the conversations and dialogues seek to shed light on enzo mari's life and work.
on the occasion of the exhibition, enzo mari curated by hans ulrich obrist with francesca giacomelli, triennale milano presents a series of podcasts, which offers further ideas and insights into the exhibition currently underway at the museum. titled ‘enzo mari costellazione’, the podcast is hosted and curated by author, design critic, and THE DESIGN PRIZE 2018 winner alice rawsthorn, in collaboration with hans ulrich obrist. the conversations and dialogues seek to shed light on enzo mari’s life and work through the voices of some of the people who knew him, and who have been inspired by his work in their own practices.

enzo mari costellazione is a series of six episodes, featuring conversations with hans ulrich obrist, stefano boeri, andrea trimarchi and simone farresin of formafantarana, paola antonelli, martino gamper, and marva griffin wilshire as guests. ‘committed. passionate, brilliant, ingenious, resourceful, elegant and absolutely without compromise, enzo mari is one of the most fascinating designers of our time,’ says rawsthorn on mari. boeri describes him as ‘a constellation’, while antonelli sees him as ‘the conscience of italian design’. gamper recalls mari having ‘insulted me in a way that I’ve never been insulted by another designer’. marva griffin wilshire defines him as ‘an outsider’, while designer duo formafantasma delves into the influence that mari had on their work with respect to the ‘implication of production’ in the design processes.
