dominic wilcox created a field from 400 eco-friendly shoes at the dock as part of london design week. sponsored by terra plana, the ethical shoe company, wilcox applied shoe laces which rose up in unison, as if like growing pieces of grass, reaching towards the light of a window, resulting in a field. the installation was a way of connecting the products we consume with the natural world to which they ultimately return.
