bollinger motors first unveiled the B1 concepts in 2017 and B2 in 2018 respectively. both prototype models were then revealed in 2019 decked in a sleek, all-black aesthetic. they detailed a dual-motor setup that pulls from a 120 kwh battery pack to generate 614 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque. this powers the two trucks to a top speed of 100 mph to race from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. the trucks are expected to have a range of 200 miles per charge.

compared to the original, the bollinger B1 and B2 production designs raise their shoulder lines to allow more packaging space for components under the trunks. this focuses the majority of the visual weight towards the ground to make for a more stable and sturdy appearance, but it also raises the overall occupant head clearance to allow a more visible driver experience. at their fronts, the overall size of the radiators are reduced thanks to a new slimmer cooling unit that receives better airflow. in turn, the headlight mounts have also been moved to mirror and match the symmetry of the taillights.

elsewhere in the designs, the B-pillars move forward to better ingress and egress for the rear occupants. sliding glass windows are then replaced by manual crank windows, which are lighter and equally as robust. the windshield, side glass and rear glass have all grown taller to accommodate the extra head clearance. finally, the B2 truck’s bed is now detailed as being independent from the cab. this enables commercial chassis cab applications, repairs or replacements to be completed or made easier.
