permafrost’s involvement in the project has focused on the aesthetic qualities of ‘luxo motus’, repeatedly refining the shapes and curvature of the luminaires. as a result, the series showcases a variety of friendly forms that invite the user to touch and feel the pieces.

the unified design language developed by permafrost makes it easy to combine several motus luminaries in one lighting solution. there are seven different variants distributed on the desk, wall, floor, and ceiling, featuring a flat head for asymmetrical light and a cone-shaped head for symmetrical light. the spring-balanced arm and the 3-axis movement of the head joint enable fluid and effortless movement of the light.
