Hookie’s new Drag-Racer
Following the their first reinterpretation of the CAKE ÖSA (see more here), german workshop Hookie co
has unveiled the ‘Silver ANT’, an electric motorcycle made specifically for racing. The custom design is inspired by sci-fi movies, Nascar cars and the spirit of the checkered flag. With its minimal form and dynamic curves, the ‘Silver ANT’ is far away from the usual look of a motorcycle.
‘In 2019 the Swedish manufacturer Cake presented the Ösa as a new platform,’ explains Hookie co. ‘The design is special and attaches great importance to functionality. For us, the ÖSA offers the perfect playground to realize very different concepts. We start with our ANT series suitable for the Cake ÖSA. With various bolt-on parts, we generate a perfect symbiosis of urban commuter and individual advertising platform for the ÖSA, e.g. for local shops or brands.’

the unique abilities of the ‘Silver ANT’ MOTORCYCLE
Hookie co developed the sci-fi inspired ‘Silver ANT’ for Germany’s first electric motorcycle racing series ‘The great S’. The custom bike has unique abilities due to its capacity to sprint. In addition, it comes with special features such as a small WiFi antenna that makes it look more like an autonomous motorcycle drone. Technically, the Silver ANT is equipped with standard motor-battery components, but has been pushed to the maximum through adjustments to the motor control. Meanwhile, the moto design company has embedded LED matrices with a resolution of 8x16px at the rear and at the front. These offer the possibility of playing various graphics and animations via an integrated Arduino kit.
