the new symbol is derived from the famous shield that adorned the front of fiat cars from 1931 to 1968. the new design by robilantassociati and the fiat style centre returns to the use of vertically elongated letters for the word fiat which out against a ruby red background, encased in a chromed frame. it has a three-dimensional effect which conveys an idea of technology. the first use of the new logo will be on the new bravo car due to be rleased in 2007.
