Debuting at the luxury automotive brand’s design center in Nice on the Côte d’Azur, the near-series car heralds a new and even more exclusive era for Maybach, one enriched with high fashion. It adds a further embellishment of sophistication to the ‘sensual purity’ design philosophy, treating choices as art, and even creating a holistic experience with fashion accessories to match the limited edition vehicle.

As its name hints, the Concept Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture is inspired by haute couture – the world of tailored fashion design. It borrows aesthetics, fine materials and exquisite craftsmanship seen and felt in high-end fashion and fuses it with automotive design. The close-to-production, tailor-made creation stands as a new icon of bespoke, unique and unusual possibilities.

EXCLUSIVE TWO-TONE EXTERIOR COLOR

Based on the form of the S-Class, the exterior of the tailored car is characterized in an exclusive, contrasting two-tone paint finish. A bold, dark nautical blue adorns the upper part as well as the typically forged wheels, adding a star-crusted appearance thanks to very metallic, chrome quality. A light, shimmering rose hue dresses the lower portion and the sides. The sensual color combination sets the stage for the highly fashion-inspired interior.

What’s more, it wears a special paint finish that perfectly matches the interior.’

UNIQUELY CRAFTED LUXURY INTERIOR

Radiant white is interspersed with the dark nautical blue to create a modern atmosphere in the interior of the concept car. The contrasting color combination is also present in the boot. The seats, armrests, lower part of the instrumental panel, steering wheel, and roof lining are all upholstered in crystal white nappa leather. Blue leather then encircles the window frames and forms the beltine. The driver and passengers are covered overhead with the stylized Mercedes star patterned in light grey across the headliner. Below, all-white faux fur lines the plush carpet.

A haute couture-inspired, high-quality bouclé fabric intricately interweaves the blue, beige, rose, and gold colors from the concept. The knit embraces the passengers by arcing from behind the seats down across the door sills. Subtle flashes adorn the comfortable, individual rear seats’ neck rests and scatter cushions too. At the front, the dashboard is generously tailored in a lacquered trim in white chrome with rose gold-colored lines flowing across the whole width of the car. Rose gold accents dot along the center console and as unique voiture badges in the rear.

haute couture fashion MEETS AUTOMOVE DESIGN

The inspiration from the haute couture fashion world turns full circle with the concept car. The original materials used to create the vehicle have also been used to craft exclusive bags and outfits, all handmade. The bags borrow the combination of crystal white leather and bouclé fabric. The outfits – including a ladies’ suit, lace dress, and mock beck top and long skirt – combine the original weave with various other materials borrowed from the high-end fashion industry. The designs complete a holistic, bespoke experience for Maybach.
