broom chairs image © designboomitalian designer giorgio biscaro‘s ‘offset’ is a collection of furniture which draws on the democratic scandinavian design of the 50s. the pieces address historical moments of design and reinterprets them with a modern eye. one of the pieces is biscaro’s broom chair in which he has drawn on the traditional craftsmanship of broom making, applying the hand-crafting techniques in a contemporary way, in the design of a chair. biscaro’s work is on show in salone satellite during milan design week 2010.
