Furniture manufacturer Raumplus teams-up with Berlin-based firm Pragmatic Design, led by Michael Hilgers, to create a slender frame inspired by the cuts of a precious gemstone. Appropriately named ‘Facet’, the piece contains slender profiles that reflect ambient light with varying intensity. The result, an interior enhancer that acts as sliding doors or room dividers, celebrating purity and elegance whilst being highly functional.

Facet’s highly functional minimalist methodology

The methodology of ‘Facet‘ aligns with both raumplus‘ and pragmatic design‘s values, in focusing on individual spatial reference, minimalist design and high functionality. The sliding door panel comprises a filigree profile frame, setting an exclusive scene as well as providing a storage space behind the glass. The ‘Facet’ look is further intensified by their contemporary living room colors: Copper, Champagne or Black, each with a shimmering anodized brushed finish.

By combining pragmatic design’s knowledge with raumplus’ manufacturing expertise, ‘Facet’ fits seamlessly into any room situation. The product is customizable in any size from 500 x 700mm to 1500 x 2750mm and with a choice between having a floor rail or as a barrier-free Air version. Additionally, ‘Facet’ boasts the option of two horizontal panel dividing rails, which facilitates three panel colors or materials, such as wood, glass or mirror, in one door. A handle that is flush with the profile harmoniously adapts to its shape without protruding into the field of vision.
