the island of mallorca in spain is home to picturesque hills and tourist attractions surrounded by the clear blue water of the mediterranean sea. among this scenery, A2arquitectos has specialized in making luxurious oases of relaxation. turning towards the goal of providing a more playful environment, the firm has created ‘smile pool’ as an extension of recreational activities and entertainment for young guests of the hotel castell dels hams.

the pool is defined by a vivid shade of yellow




the face focuses his perception from different viewpoints and scales, either at the level of the foot, from the terraces of the hotel, or the aerial and satellite views of google maps. the studio opted for a concentric circular organization of the elements , where the center of the whole is the children’s pool. this central water feature is characterized by a vivid shade of yellow and a diameter of 12 meters, making it unique in form and color among the neighboring baths. orbiting around its area are various zones designated for games, showers, and a solarium.
