Aedas introduces its kingboard plaza tower to china’s nansha area, a free trade zone surrounded by shenzhen, guangzhou, and macao. a monumental addition to the growing business district, the project hosts retail and office spaces within its base, together with a range of residential units within its upper floors. the tower is defined as an assemblage of stacking and rotating volumes, generating a condition which sees multiple roofs. the team at Aedas makes use of these large, outdoor roof terraces to introduce sky gardens, and an infinity swimming pool which offers panoramic views across the city, and the rolling hills and rivers beyond.

Aedas nansha kingboard plaza

the design team at Aedas organizes its nansha kingboard plaza tower with a zigzaging layout. this strategy draws inspiration from the forceful character of the mountains in south guangdong, with volumes stacked and rotated in sections, rendering an image of a classic ink painting scroll. the landscape design also celebrates the waterfront culture of the nansha area and provides abundant public green space for the residents. nansha kingboard plaza has been created as a place great significance, standing as a gateway. while providing high-quality live-work experience, it demonstrates lingnan’s unique character and stands as a new landmark of the city.
