in the (post) pandemic era, agnieszka białek, founder of monolight studio, has created ‘enclaves on vistula riveran’, a floating co-working space in krakow, poland. the creative process was led by ecological values, allowing the coexistence of nature and architecture without interfering in the environment. besides, the elements allow changes of their location on the river, drifting near wawel castle, the city symbol.agnieszka białek proposes organic-shaped floating co-working space in cracow

in times of social distancing, the proposal by agnieszka białek / monolight studio seeks to provide a unique comfort zone and a sense of security. the oval-formed enclave’s interior is wrapped with integrated furnishings, allowing users to achieve individual positions during work. with a booking system, the construction functions as a user-friendly space during day and night, without time limits. furthermore, to maintain the project’s ecological dimension, the accessibility for outsiders within the enclaves is achieved by a kayak.agnieszka białek proposes organic-shaped floating co-working space in cracow

the design of the project draws reference by the river foam shaping geometric arrangements. apart from this, another influence was the floating water lilies and their root system. the cells’ fragments take form as the leaves of these plants, while the enclaves placed on the cells resemble their flowers. an enclave serves as a private workspace installed on a platform that rests on floats.agnieszka białek proposes organic-shaped floating co-working space in cracow

the interconnected cells are anchored in the river bed, forming a single floating structure of modular systems on the water surface. the concept uses new technologies and methods of creation and design. the organic-shaped networks exist as 3D virtual models that could be 3D-printed in the future using waterproof, recyclable materials, within a few days.  agnieszka białek proposes organic-shaped floating co-working space in cracowagnieszka białek proposes organic-shaped floating co-working space in krakowagnieszka białek proposes organic-shaped floating co-working space in krakow
