vienna-based alleswirdgut have created a competition proposal for the ‘BIO campus’, an eco-city which fully considers its environmental impact in istanbul, turkey. the masterplan minimizes energy, food and water inputs as well as waste heat and pollution in the form of CO2. the sun’s rays arefiltered through the facades to reduce the need for artificial lighting and connect with the outdoors. efficient air handling combined with radiant cooling systemswill minimize stress on the electrical consumption. 

 an emphasis on the urban planning will establish a higher density arrangement, keeping resources and residents close to each other.reducing reliance on transportation emits less greenhouse gases, conserving both resources and energy.
