apple has opened its first store in thailand, an inviting, glazed building located along the chao phraya river in bangkok. named ‘apple iconsiam’, the retail venue will feature the company’s full line of products including the new iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and apple watch series 4. meanwhile, free ‘today at apple’ sessions invite visitors to pursue their creative passions.

designed by foster + partners in collaboration with jony ive, the new apple store is located at the heart of bangkok surrounded by cultural landmarks. the building is connected to the new mixed-use ICONSIAM center, while two expansive glass façades create transparency towards the river and beyond. customers enter through a sweeping curve stone entry, before encountering an outdoor terraced garden offering views of the city.

the forum is capable of hosting a wide variety of events



inside, a spacious forum hosts the store’s free ‘today at apple’ sessions — hands-on activities led by creative pros. elsewhere, visitors can try out apple’s latest products displayed for maximum convenience and accessibility. a tree-lined ‘genius grove’ mirrors the flora of the outdoor terrace and provides the setting for personalized technical support and advice.
