korean american architect kyu sung woo has been named the winner of the 2008 ho-am prize in the arts.
the ho am prize in the arts recognizes koreans who have made outstanding contributions to the promotion
of culture an the arts through their creative efforts. kyu sung woo practices in both korea and the USA.
he is known for creating buildings that utilize light, space and movement combined to create a meditative
experience. projects include the nerman museum of contemporary art and the heller school at brandeis
university. there current project is the asian cultural complex in gwangju, korea.
