in the creation of its acid house barcelona for client and promoter folch studio, the design team at arquitectura-G aims to unify the factory space — its pre-existing state characterized by a distracting material and textural diversity. the team neutralizes these busy interior elements with a finish of solid white. the contrast of the glass enclosures and the wooden flooring, the sprayed plaster combined with masonry textures as well as the riveted beams and trusses are maintained and ordered, expressing the industrial past of the place.

the team at arquitetura-G comments on the projected use and organization of acid house barcelona:the project is planned for a 10 years period span, which ultimately led the project to be influenced by an economy of means. by strategically placing the different actors involved, the configuration and distribution of the pre-existing factory space has been respected and preserved — an office in the main aisle, classroom, bathrooms, office and workspace in the adjacent one.’
